Fairly good the hand crank seems to work to charge along with the solar charges also. Not as much light as the old fashioned bulbs, but then they draw too much power to make use of with solar. The power went off in my home and although I've a generator that comes on automatically it doesn't power my downstairs lights where my personal computer is.
