I purchased one of these about a year ago, and was really pleased with the even, bright light. Most LED lanterns have uneven light that's difficult to read by, but not this one. And they've fantastic customer service. I brought it on a camping trip last week, and identified a battery had leaked, damaging the battery holder. When I got back, I emailed client service at Black Diamond, and monday morning they mailed me a brand new one, no questions asked. It just arrived nowadays, Thursday, and it's as great as new.
